dyeing wool: hand operation:
carding: sliver: twist:
Pure white raw wools dyed in various colors. They will be blended together as the first step of making yarn. Several tens of colored raw wool fibers are manually aligned one by one to make a singles yarn. The raw wool is then fed into the carding machine to straighten the fibers and remove impurities, forming a thin web of aligned fibers. The web is next divided and rolled to create rope-like slivers. The slivers are drafted, twisted, and then wound onto bobbins. The produced yarn is ready to be transformed into products.
